Though “Icey” Mike Imber is best known as the promoter of Kimbo Slice and he’s best known as a Street Fighter, MMA fighter and now professional, heavy weight boxer, the duo also, participate in various charities. As of now they have teamed up to raise money and awareness for the fight against Autism.

Autism affects 1 in 110 children. Autism is identified in a group of disorders known as autism spectrum disorders (ASD). It impairs in the way that it affects children as they view the world around them and often have problems relating and interacting with others. Sadly, Autism is on the rise as well as the costs of treating children with this disorder. Each year nationwide, over $35 billion each year is spent on care and treatment of Autism. The costs will be going up in the next decade and it is for this reason that Icey Mike Imber and Kimbo Slice have teamed up and taken the initiative to be part “of the fight against Autism”

Kimbo Slice is the father of six children himself. I suppose, as this disorder does not discriminate makes him much more compassionate and dedicated to the cause. Mike Imber has always been a mega promoter of sorts and people seem to gravitate towards him, while Kimbo Slice has a steady and growing fan base. They want to use these advantages to raise awareness and money towards the cause.

Kimbo Slice who is a big fan of Dan Marino, also from Miami as “Slice” himself, wants to follow in his footsteps on this humbling mission to bring awareness on Autism as Dan Marino has throughout his career. Icey Mike Imber and Kimbo Slice hope to reach a younger fan base as well as to connect to the Urban/Hip-Hop culture and raise awareness on this cause.
